Swami Vivekananda Primary School (SVPS) is an elementary school for underprivileged children of Rothe Village, Palghar. The school fills a critical gap in primary education in the area.The trustees and teachers believe in a learning process that is enjoyable for children and emphasizes “learning by doing”. The school fosters a nurturing environment that encourages children to actively participate in the learning process. The goal of the school is to motivate children to seek further education and skills towards improving their own lives and that of the community they live in.

Talented parents are given a platform to showcase their talent in sports in various competitions. Yoga sessions are also organized to enlighten the parents on the importance of yoga in daily life.
Our students must have the ability to act mindfully in cases of emergency. Keeping this in mind, we organize fire safety seminars and workshops for students and parents.
We make it a point to celebrate all the festivals and inculcate the importance of each of those festivals into the minds of our students.
Women’s safety is one of our very strong core beliefs. We conduct regular sessions on women’s safety where we teach them how to keep themselves safe.
With a view to enhance the general knowledge of the students, a Book Library has been set up where a lot of books have been made available to students for learning.
Students are given access to a large playground and a kids playground with a lot of rides.
Extra-curricular activities like yoga and other cultural programmes are organized from time to time to make our students acquainted with activities beyond academics. They are even rewarded with gifts for their performance.
Free medical camps are conducted at regular intervals from Nursery to std. 4 to examine their overall health and suggest measures to prevent health hazards.
